Board Meeting Notes November 14, 2011

The Pleasant Mount Community Center (PMCC) held its board on Monday November 14, 2011 from 7:00pm to 8:05. In attendance were Bill Woodward, President; Michelle Urban, Treasurer; Chris Albright, Secretary, Arden Burleigh, Township Representative; Steve Pachuta and Charlie Schaefer.

Items discussed are as follows:
• Board Elections
- Charlie Schaefer nominated Steve Pachuta to be a board member. The board voted unanimously for Steve to be a board member.
- Bill Woodward, Bucky Burke were reappointed as President and Vice President respectively
- Chris Albright did not want to continue as Secretary. Charlie Schaefer was voted in as Secretary.
- Michelle Urban remains as Treasurer
- The Board is looking for additional board members. Please contact one of the board members if you are interested in helping the PMCC.

• The Treasurer presented reports on the fiscal health of the Community Center. The PMCC account has only $1167 and the Township account has a little over $6000. With the winter use of fuel oil for community activities the PMM will be running a deficit if additional monies cannot be found

• Building and grounds reported the following items:
- A bid for a propane stove was presented by Bill Woodward which would save starting the furnace. It was agreed that there in not enough funds for a purchase the propane stove at the present time
- $20,580 of community block grant money is being held until Wayne County re-development workers are freed up to make minor repairs and insulation. Bill Woodward is going to speak with the re-development authority to see if a local contractor can perform the work and whether some of the monies can be re-directed for the propane stove.
- The chimney for the furnace is leaking water onto the gym floor and is being replaced
- Suggestions were being made to insulate the gym doors due to the excessive heat loss from
- A donation box was recommended for use of the center to help defray the cost of the lighting and heat.

-Tuesday mornings, Bill Woodward and Bucky Bourke assess and repair items that need attention for the building. Others are welcome to come and help

• The Veteran's Day celebration at the PMCC was a great success. It is hoped that funds are available to continue supporting the many groups and events throughout the year.
